RIPTA management RUDE , IGNORANT , INCOMPETENT


RIPTA holds community meeting to discuss new bus routes


Many RIPTA riders will agree on this from personal experience : the management of RIPTA is routinely rude, ignorant , and incompetent. Just last night I stood waiting for the 30 bus at the Kennedy Plaza stop. Finally the driver of the 21 bus tells me that the 30 bus now stops running around 7:30 PM . For years you could catch that 30 bus much later. This is a big inconvenience for RIPTA riders in the Knightsville, Cranston neighborhood.
Also expect to be treated rudely at the Elmwood Ave. RIPTA office if you are a senior citizen whose free bus pass was cruelly cancelled. Queen Gina did not quite " restore " the entitlement. There is more of a hassle to re-establish your eligibility. Even if you have been retired for years on social security, you must get a statement from the IRS saying you have no taxable income for last year. The office treats you as NON PERSON if you just show them your old bus pass ( mine says it expires August 2018 ! ).
Why all these stupid changes to old bus schedules ? Too many law suits ? RIPTA drivers running over too many people trying to catch the bus ?
What nasty incompetents !
