What made no sense to me way back then was the very idea -the very sanctimonious and oh-so-vengefully patriotic idea- of an endless and reckless " war on terrorism ". What was the root of the evil ? I asked myself. My old socialist friends - with different slants on the class struggle- ALL agreed on the answer. What blind " sectarians " ?
I hope the World Socialist Web Site gets all the respect and support it deserves. Any still honest " liberal " should support the FREE SPEECH tradition of Western " democracy ".
