For me , a democratic Socialist, Noam Chomsky and the late Howard
Zinn have been guiding lights in the understanding of the evils of
capitalism. I would be disappointed if Chomsky resigns himself to a
Hillary Save Us political message. But reformers and radicals together
can save the planet . And if we do not check " free market capitalism " ,
we will, by the end of this century, become a FAILED SPECIES. Even the
Catholic Pope Francis understands that. Not for nothing he excoriates
global capitalism in the language of mystical morality- not " scientific
socialism ".
We need to hear ALL voices on the sane left. Socialism -economic democracy-is a work in progress. There is no self-appointed VANGUARD for saving the human race.
I am a critical supporter of Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont. Hillary scolded him : If you have something to say, say it. Sanders did say it : we need a POLITICAL REVOLUTION.
