I agree with the views expressed by former Rhode Island governor Lincoln Chafee - who ALONE in the establishment - opposed the stupid war in Iraq- in a Boston Globe interview today ( March 7, 2022 ) . I think the Ukraine president Volodymyr Zelenskyy will soon show himself for the corrupt clown that he is. Would it not have been more responsible to have had a referendum or an internationally supervised plebiscite on the question of Ukraine joining NATO ? Were the common people of the Ukraine - now living in horror- languishing with a longing for a cozier alliance with effete , moribund NATO ? For more than a century now American foreign policy was all about reverence for SOVEREIGN nations on all continents beginning with Mexico in 1848 ? Decaying American capitalism needs an arch-villain - and the plutocracy has decided on Russia's Vladimir Putin.
