In no way has health care become a basic human right with so called " Obama Care " - a miserable bipartisan compromise.
Contrary to the religious Right there is no RIGHT TO LIFE under capitalism unless they wish to " save " life in the womb so that it might later be sacrificed as cannon fodder in another stupid imperialist war.
This is perhaps a common experience for many working class and middle class American families: I was in the room with my woman companion Dorene - sick with bone cancer from an earlier breast cancer- when she was told over the phone by some major cancer center that they don't take Medicare. They are as cold blooded as lizards !
Would a humane health care system allow any doctors or dentists or hospitals or nursing homes or cancer treatment centers to refuse Medicare patients ? But what then about the RIGHTS OF MONEY ?
Medicare did allow my Dorene to pass away peacefully with dignity in April 2017 at the Hope Hospice Center in Providence, R.I. This is how capitalism treats precious human beings ?
