Before " Hawk Hillary " won the nomination of the Democratic Party for president of the United States - by sabotaging the " political revolution " of rival " socialist " Democrat Bernie Sanders- the capitalist mainstream news media had already started the HATE RUSSIA , New McCarthyism . Yes , with BIG LIES and FAKE NEWS !
Even if relative press " independence " is a threat to budding fascism, no honest socialist will see bought and sold journalists as dear comrades in the struggle for the liberation of the working class. Professional journalism is dead in the USA .
A while back the Providence Journal published an editorial titled " Free Speech for Everybody ". They were concerned about the " free speech " of some already influential right winger connected to the Ayn Rand inspired " Rhode Island Center for Freedom and Prosperity ". Only very rarely would the Providence Journal publish opinions that might appear daily in this World Socialist Web Site.
When I send a polite note to the editor asking if he could find out why socialist " Radical Ron " is BANNED FROM THE BROWN DAILY HERALD ( I wanted to comment on the recent visit of Senator Elizabeth Warren to Brown University ) all I get is a disdainful SILENCE .
It just does not matter ? We are too marginal ? Or is it that the American ruling class can no longer even tolerate the voicing of real SOCIALIST ideas ?
