Legalizing marijuana should also open minds to the foolish and costly WAR ON DRUGS . Individuals should be able to decide for themselves what drugs to take for their idiosyncratic pains or just to FEEL GOOD - a basic human right .
The doctor's prescription here should be a thing of the past . Already they are getting cruelly cautious with old people in need of pain medication . Don't worry about 80 year olds becoming addicted.
Also, ALL doctors and dentists, hospitals and nursing homes , all cancer treatment centers, should be obliged to accept ALL Medicare and Medicaid patients.
Presently we are nowhere near HEALTH CARE AS A BASIC HUMAN RIGHT .
And why does Medicare continue to think that dental health has nothing to do with general physical health ? How stupid . As for PAIN what compares to the average tooth ache ?
We remain the most backward " advanced " country on earth in health care
