Sorry but capitalism divides THE PEOPLE into antagonistic classes

"In the sole debate of the election, Nixon charged Cuomo’s administration with incompetence and corruption but said nothing about Cuomo’s subordination of the state government to the needs of the corporations and Wall Street. "
The theme of " corruption and incompetence " of elected officials -not the fundamental rottenness of capitalism " - prevailed in the local politics of Rhode Island where neo-con Hillary pal Governor Gina Raimondo defeated insurgent " progressive " Matt Brown just as decisively -with the help of much more money . They do not want any Bernie Sanders " socialist " surprises here in state owned by the New Democrats - a long way from the old New Deal Democrats.

Bernie Sanders won the Democratic primary election here in April 2016 . Gina Raimondo - in contempt of popular will - led the Rhode Island delegation to the Democratic National Convention -and delivered it to " Wall St. Hillary ". During which Sanders supporters ( the beginning of the New McCarthyism ) were smeared as having " a propensity for violence ".

What was really ironic in the Raimondo vs .Brown contest was that Brown ads accused Governor Raimondo - the darling of Planned Parenthood - of being soft on abortion rights. Famous feminist Gloria Steinem    endorsed Matt Brown . How no-nonsense PROGRESSIVE is bourgeois feminism !

The " progressive " Democrat candidates for public office invariably offer up their pristine virtuous selves - their narcissistic ME - as THE SOLUTION to systemic problems . At last they tell us that we finally have a TRUE FRIEND OF THE PEOPLE with them in office. Just RE-ELECT please !

Nothing wrong with THE PEOPLE except that capitalism divides us into antagonistic classes.

CAMPAIGN 2018: Brown assails Raimondo on 'pro-life' health plans ...

Jun 13, 2018 - Women's rights leaders, including Gloria Steinem, left, took aim at the abortion-rights policies of Gov. Gina Raimondo and endorsed Matt Brown ...
