The capitalist way of life and CLASS society in general certainly has a lot to do with seemingly lunatic violence against women.
But it is mostly upper class males who feel ENTITLED even to the bodies of married women. In the feudal ages we read about some disgusting " right of the first night ".
What on earth can turn sexual-romantic relationships so fatally hateful ? The bourgeois legal system can turn any sexual relationship into a serious threat to one's present and future " assets " . Once the initial infatuation fades the cooled off male or female feels the relationship to be an insufferable burden.
A socialist society will make it clear that nobody is anybody's PRIVATE PROPERTY - no matter how crazed the attraction. I am sure LOVE will survive the new rules !
I can't imagine any democratic socialist society encouraging marriage for narcissistic reasons or making divorce or the death of a spouse a fortune bringer for any coldly calculating male or female.
After watching a half a dozen episodes of " Forensic Files " I am impressed how dangerous and treacherous " True Romance " can be.
Expect " innocence " only in the face of those new born " bundles of joy ".
