Since most war veterans are working class, democratic Socialists are
very interested in their recovery from war trauma. But does it enter the
head of any conventional therapist that this stress syndrome is
connected to the social conscience of the soldier ( " Thou shalt not
kill " ) who has probably witnessed not a few war crimes ?
The troubled combat veteran deserves a rational explanation for war-
which he will never get from the U.S. military. Even the Chaplain Corps
mostly just greases the war machine with the blessing of Lord, the "
Prince of Peace ".
