To a degree both Israel and the United States are shaped by the higher values of Western Civilization. BUT ?
To a degree Israel -like the United States- is shaped by higher
values of Western Civilization.But " democracy " is failing in both
these nation states because of pernicious CAPITALIST and IMPERIALIST
values.
Israel could improve its image by becoming a secular ,
democratic socialist " welfare state " - like those Scandinavian
countries- which at least try to welcome Muslim immigrants.
In the past many intellectual Jews had no problem with socialist humanism and socialist internationalism.
Is " democracy " thriving in the USA under an arrogant
plutocracy - the master of both the Democratic and Republican parties ?
