More accurately, I could describe myself as a critical supporter of
Christian Socialism- shaped by both historical science and the mysticism
of early Catholicism. Read Saint Augustine as an eye witness to the
fall of the Roman Empire .
The New Atheists - who love
capitalism - are always bashing Christians . Their loudest ( dead )
voice is the ex-Trotskyist and drunk Christopher Hitchens. His atheist
cult classic is titled : " God Is Not Great ... how religion poisons
everything."
Curiously Hitchens evolved into a pro-imperialist supporter of the Bush war in Iraq- a crime against humanity.
Christian socialism rejects both Islamophobia and the Zionism of Apartheid Israel.
The IDEAL of SOCIALISM did not collapse with the fall of the
Stalinist Soviet Union in 1991.
Democratic socialists - among them
atheist humanists - have been around for more than 100 years.
So we are hardly extinct.
