Letter: Kathy Pesta: Catholic Church a 'shining beacon' for poor, minorities
               

I observe that the individuals who obsess on the flaws of the Catholic Church are invariably neo-liberals or libertarians who have no quarrel with greedy , cruel and irrational capitalism -often condemned by the more Christ- like voice of Catholic social philosophy.

 A lot of " identity politics " and political correctness is just our Culture of Narcissism gone mad.  

       And do the obnoxious New Atheists ever sponsor food kitchens or homeless shelters ? Does the search for the nth dimension of gay liberation bring personal happiness ? Is there a bourgeois heaven for ambitious females beyond those glass ceilings in corporate America ?

       Do we really need more " nasty " women " to poison the tranquility of home and family ? And making hawkish calls for World War III ?
