Bishop Tobin right about dangerous drugs but the Church itself should stop lusting for the Sword of Constantine

In the " moral wilderness of the 1960s " the youth of America were not all devoted to personal degeneration. Many youth were " radicalized " in a leftward direction. They supported -some with their lives- the Civil Rights Movement and many opposed the Vietnam War.

Bishop Tobin has been the object of ridicule and even hatred by the " politically correct " and often morally wrong pseudo-left of illiberal liberalism. I suspect the " war on God " inspired him to become a registered Republican.

But the Catholic Church should stick to religious metaphysics( of Aquinas and Aristotle ) which rises above worldly concerns like the class struggle.

Bishop Tobin is right : the youth should not ruin their minds, bodies, and souls, with toxic and intoxicating drugs. But the Church itself should stop lusting for the Sword of Constantine.
