  What is the root of political corruption in Rhode Island or in any other state for that matter ? Most American politicians are second rate lawyers or mediocre intellects with venal souls. Our ruling class of capitalists and landlords need " low types " to serve them.

    These typical politicians are invariably tempted to look- out-for-number one too. So being bribed is their mode of existence and the ruling class knows it.Cops also know sooner or later that their job is essentially to protect the interests of the rich, protect them if necessary with their own lives.

    Not thinking their own lives " cheap " they develop a sense of entitlement. No surprise that one of our finest was stealing coupon inserts from a Providence Journal distribution center.

   So what is the solution to corruption in Rhode Island ? " Good citizens " can make even better "socialists " . The Superman building should be converted into community property -with no compensation to present owner.
