This
American " serving his country " - or rather the New Colonialism- in
Japan is now caught up in the terrible legal machinery of two nation
states not famous for " mercy " : " Pearl Harbor " Japan and " Hiroshima
" USA.
It is most probable that the " arrogance of power " rubs off on low ranking soldiers of empire- on all sides.
I hope this still young man, accused of the horrible crime of murdering a woman- disgracing his own country- gets a fair trial.
But I also agree with those angry Japanese crowds. Time for the Occupation Force to leave Japan.
Naturally another American mother weeps for her military son.
