The neo-cons who own and run what I remember as the Providence
Journal wanted to marginalize " Comrade Kerr " while he was still
working for them.
Even the fringe needs a voice, you see. I am sure Bob Kerr would have at least tuned in to " socialist " Democrat Bernie Sanders' " political revolution ", Bernie's focus , in contrast to fatuous " identity politics ", on unacceptable economic inequality in capitalist America.
Like Bernie, Bob Kerr was really just an old fashioned liberal. But the neo-cons turned " liberal " into a dirty word way back in the Reagan era.
The neo-con Providence Journal endorsed " Wall St. Hillary " .But the voters - many, still readers of the only state-wide newspaper, went for Bernie Sanders.
Yesterday , I learned on line that CCRI was shutting down its Day Care Center in order to provide office space for Goldman Sachs-those great friends of the working class.
The Providence Journal reported the fact of the CCRI Day Center closing- but left out the Goldman Sachs connection. " Wall St. Gina " is a great friend of " Wall St. Hillary " - who is a great friend of Goldman Sachs.
On the very day of the state primary the Providence Journal - backed by a spurious Brown University poll- headlined Hillary Clinton as the probable winner . ( There was a more accurate poll out ).
Thank God Bernie Sanders won and humiliated all the phony " liberals " in this state.
Professional journalism is dead in America.
