Still this " sexual McCarthyism " in which mere malicious gossip can ruin any person's dignity overnight reminds me of the Catholic Church sex scandals that shocked Boston - when not a few good priests were smeared by the money seeking fanatics of political correctness.
How much cash-worth is a questionable " touch " in a seedy bar where decadent behavior is almost expected ?
When was not " a drink with a drunken celebrity " a major threat to sexual innocence ? Were those lurid paperback book covers in the 1950s drug stores- on the rack with " The Kinsey Report "- all pure prurient fantasy ?
In the USA today the hard core porn culture - and sex club wife sharing - go side by side with old fashioned New England Puritanism and " The Scarlet Letter ".
No " shades of gray " in sexual hypocrisy !
