" Good touch " , " bad touch " nonsense - sexual hysteria began in the 80s

I recall school children in the 1980s being given ludicrous lectures on " good touches " and " bad touches ". This evolved into an Orwellian " Anti-Sex League " farce : ALL touches are bad touches. 

I have read certain psychiatrists saying that kids who are never affectionately " touched " can develop neurotic personality disorders. Even the elderly in nursing homes can benefit from therapeutic touching, they say. 

Way back in the 50s kids could sense when they were in the presence of some adult " creep ". Teen age girls , armed with " The Kinsey Report , could distinguished normal male sexual behavior from perverse " weirdness ". 
This " identity politics " sexual hysteria would have a lawyer present as " referee " on every Saturday night date - killing the possibility of TRUE ROMANCE . 

Henry Kissinger did say that political power was highly seductive. He also said that there was no winning this eternal war of the sexes because there was too much fraternizing with the enemy. 

Darwin pointed out that there is nothing like " rape " in Nature. The female SELECTS the male who seems more like a winner than other competing males. Well Darwin put me in my place long ago.« less
