We keep hearing about how " smart and tough " is some individual public
servant of the capitalist system -such as our Honorable Governor Gina
Raimondo.
As human beings they might also be " nice and decent" too. But
no amount of political brilliance and toughness can square the circle:
solve big collective problems within the framework of private enterprise
and the limitations of STATE governments.
How can little Rhode Island continue to exist as one of 50
semi-sovereign states and command the resources to deal with its
numerous problems ?
The UNITED states will become a reality under democratic socialism.
