WARNING : Capitalism may be harmful to your mental health

     " Clearly, we raise children in a cookie cutter system that doesn't fit all. We live lives of contradiction and hypocrisy. For instance, if you're poor, you can't own anything. You can't just live on your patch of dirt, raise chickens, and farm. There is no "human habitat", you MUST slave for someone else. You only get to CHOOSE your master. "

•   A lot has been written about the " alienation " of the poor and the working class under capitalism. The prevailing idea - encouraged by the ruling class - is this : there is no systemic problem with American society and our consumerist culture.
  
     If you do not " succeed " in this bizarre economy , you have made poor choices, you are a " loser ". There is even a warped TV evangelist point of view : God only smiles on the rich.
  
     The " feel good " TV preachers babble about the " abundant life " . Forget about the " good life ". The public schools do not challenge the assumptions of our capitalist way of life- so contrary to mental health wisdom.
  
      And neither do our pro-capitalist politicians- with the present exception of " socialist " Democrat Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont.
