Capitalism
is for Russia just what it is here for the American working class- a
complete economic and political failure.
As a critical supporter of "
socialist " Democrat Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont I think that "
democratic socialism " can work here in the United States.
I also think
it can work in Russia and China. Does Bernie Sanders call for "
political revolution " resonate in the hearts and minds of the Russian
people and the Chinese people ? Do these hundreds of millions just love
capitalism ?
Just google this question : " Was Karl Marx Right ? " . After the collapse of the Soviet Union shallow right wing " intellectuals " around the world wrongly assumed that global capitalism had an eternal reprieve.
What deep thinking: in a universe where everything comes into existence
and passes out of existence- in a world of constant change- somehow
human history culminates in the " free market " and Ayn Rand's " Virtue
of Selfishness " ?
It seems that capitalism " works " - but only for the ONE PERCENT- not for working class people anywhere, not for the wage slaves .
Slavery also worked- for centuries, for the slave masters.
Was Karl Marx right ? You can bet on it !
As for Vladimir Lenin , he was certainly the greatest revolutionary of all time. Next year the world will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Russian Revolution - " Ten Days that Shook the World ".
