   Fidel Castro is perhaps the last living revolutionary titan of the 20th century. Democratic socialists around the world were right to give the Cuban leaders and the Cuban Revolution critical support- without sacrificing their moral and intellectual integrity.

   Nowhere in this world is ANY " socialist " experiment left to succeed or fail on its own merits -without the malicious sabotage of U.S. imperialism. 

   The success of the Bernie Sanders campaign in the United States shows that youth are hardly hopelessly stupefied by corrupt capitalist values. 

   American capitalism is destroying its main source of support and stability- a prosperous middle class. 

    In general capitalism " works " for the capitalists- the One Percent- not for the world's hundreds of millions of wage slaves. 

    We hope the next American president ends the 50 year embargo against this heroic , anti-capitalist , little island nation.
