I would like to see the above article by Marxist scholar and politically active Trotskyist, David North, in pamphlet form. In terms of EXPLAINING the past decades of black reaction it impressed me as one time Trotskyist Peter Camejo's 1968 pamphlet : " How to make a revolution in the United States ".
Of course I am aware of Camejo's sad and curious evolution as I am of Max Shachtman's. Old socialists need old-and accurate-memories. Thank God for the written word !
The young people radicalizing in the 1960s desperately needed a rational explanation for the crazy , exploding world all around them.
We owe it to the young people today not to let them down in this all important matter of explaining contemporary history and providing them with a moral and intellectual compass. There are already among them too many permanently lost souls.
