Dear Mr. Rosenberg , I listened to your interview this morning just before 8:00 AM with Gene Valicenti ( 630 WPRO ). I do think that your beloved " liberal " ( ? ) press does little to educate THE PEOPLE on the background of right-wing attacks on the press - and the nuances and limitations of the " free press " and " free speech " in capitalist America as explained often in the past by " far left " writers such as Harvard professor Howard Zinn , author of the popular " People's History of the United States ". Zinn wrote about American History from the perspective of the COMMON people. Any Marxist will reject THE PEOPLE as too shallow and generic.
I fail to see how the mainstream news media has taken the moral high ground of TRUTH in promoting the HATE Russia New McCarthyism - and smearing President Trump ( and I speak on the LEFT ) for vices that at worst he shares with whole of upper, upper class males.
How can any socially registered American PLUTOCRAT-like Trump- not be a SNOB - if not a racist , sexist, homophobe ? And how can Trump -so popular in Israel - also be tainted with " anti-Semitism " ? To be sure American fascism will not look like Nazi fascism . It will embrace political correctness and this effete, vicious DNC based " identity politics ". It might LOOK like loud, hateful ANTI-FASCISM mobs .
We democratic socialists have a CLASS perspective on CLASS exploitation and oppression while usually avoiding " enemy of the people " hyperbole ( which originated in Stalin's Russia ) . Democratic socialists do not make, vindictive personal enemies lists. But you will admit that ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE does fit certain pharmaceutical companies that think nothing about poisoning THE PEOPLE ?
And you wonder why the specter of socialism once again haunts the American ruling class ? You can print this as a " JOIN THE CONVERSATION " piece. But I can bet my socialist fortune that you won't .
