"The young have seen nothing but the utter failure of capitalism .. . ". And yet they hear again and again from the anonymous VOICE OF AUTHORITY : " Socialism can't work ! " . It likens socialism to some crank designed wretched perpetual motion machine . But in real LIFE they are confronted with what does not work for THEM. Of course , even ancient slavery WORKED for the slave masters.
The living force of History-the socialist movement- cannot be compared to some unworkable mechanical invention languishing for respectability outside the patent office.
CHANGE is in the air sooner or later.

". This is true of all their intellectual servants in the mainstream news media. Providence Journal executive editor Alan Rosenberg expressed his fear and anxiety over Trump 's crude " ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE " attacks on his personal enemies in the mainstream news media. Rosenberg was interviewed today on Gene Valicenti's morning radio program ( 630WPRO ) . The " liberal " members of our " free press " forget that there is a century old democratic socialist critique of the capitalist news media. What do bourgeois journalists do but daily promote the mythology of the American Way of Life ? (Where- oh -where are today's passionate muckrakers ? ) . And even more despicable the mass media's BIG LIES that get us into one stupid criminal war after another . Mr. Rosenberg perhaps honestly imagines that newspapers like his are taking the moral high ground in getting out the " truth " to THE PEOPLE . So how dare Trump call them " enemies of the people " ? Just see how much TRUTH as reported on the World Socialist Web Site finds its way into the editorial pages of the Providence Journal . Or on the front page . Just when did the American working class decide that far away Russia was a major malevolent threat to " OUR democracy " - and while WE THE PEOPLE are being poisoned and oppressed and exploited by BIG BUSINESS in the USA ? Very soon , for most of THE PEOPLE here , life will again become nasty, brutal, and short.
