Consult the smug editorial page editor for deep thinking on why socialism is BAD

I have noticed that Democratic Party zealots now nearly hypnotized by the " Russia meddling in OUR democracy " mantra are quite impervious to FACTS and INFORMATION. You can't debate robots . These decadent " liberals " prefer name calling and smearing and nasty hissing : ( " Did you take your meds today ? " ).

For the nth time I heard Rhode Island Congressman David Cicilline, on radio this morning, babble about Russia attacking " OUR democracy ". There is no hope for these FALSE people - another mass product of decaying capitalism.

Also for the nth time on local radio this morning I hear good old Gene Valicenti , " Mr. 401 " of talk radio , interviewing Governor Gina Raimondo , express alarm about the growing specter of " democratic socialism " in  her party. Gene said that when he was a kid he was taught that socialism was BAD .

Yes, as Marx said the ruling ideas are the ideas of the ruling class - which for more than a century has declared socialism BAD .

For deep thinking on this rejection of socialism consult any prosperous editorial page editor of a large newspaper in a big American city . Or any smug college economics professor .

Governor Raimondo brushed aside Valicenti's fear of nasty " socialism " raising its ugly head in the party of the working man . The Democratic Party, we hear , does try to be inclusive even with these far left marginal types. Anyway, the DNC will whip them in line .

In April of 2016 " socialist " Democrat Bernie Sanders won a shocking primary victory here. But what mattered at the Democratic National Convention was Raimondo delivering the state delegates to her friend Hillary Clinton. OUR democracy !
