As if the Trump Junta were not hawkish enough over Russia , China, North Korea, Iran ! The simple truth is that the mentality of America's top military people was described perfectly by " leftist " sociologist C. Wright Mills decades ago during the Cold War . Mills called it " crackpot realism ".
THEY whisper in President Trump's ears : " nuclear war is NOT unthinkable and NOT unwinnable ".
The top American generals in or out of the White House are not less stupid than the German and French generals of the Great War ( 1914 ) who presided over the " Horror of Verdun "
THEY are no more MAKING THE WORLD SAFE FOR DEMOCRACY today than those generals were back then .
A mass peace movement visible in the streets of the United States can stop the " crackpot realist " war maniacs before it is too late for all humanity.
