When Rhode Island politicians are NOT scoundrels ?

Letter: Helen Buffardi: Ruggerio showed leadership in driving out senator

I can commend Senate President Dominick Ruggerio for being good at what he does. He himself has been sickeningly smeared for some comic book incident of stolen condoms from a pharmacy . A sophisticated male might suspect that he was just too embarrassed to pay for them at the counter. 

But here he should have been more sensitive to yet another prominent victim of sexual McCarthyism- guilty by accusation.

 In that incident that gave him this vulgar " Rubbers " nickname Senator Ruggerio - like many adult males- may have been embarrassed to purchase the condoms at the counter of the pharmacy . I doubt if his credit or debit card was VOID . He could be a poster boy for a new CVS promotion ad : INSIDE VENDING MACHIINES FOR CONDOMS in drug stores. 

I am no fan of Rhode Island politicians - Democrats or Republicans . But in everyday life why can't we see when they are NOT scoundrels  - not quite .
