The " liberal " Democrats abandoned any banner of Christianity long ago.. And just a few years ago just about every Republican candidate for president was openly and shamelessly devoted to that reactionary militant atheist Ayn Rand and her pro-capitalist " Virtue of Selfishness " .
You can say that in 2018 Ayn Rand is the patron saint of the American ruling class which controls BOTH the Republican and Democratic parties.
