Above all, it is the American capitalist system - not racism, sexism , homophobia - which creates appalling CLASS economic inequality . The vast majority of working class white Christians will never be persuaded that their daily struggles for survival reflect WHITE PRIVILEGE .
Even the Black Muslim Malcolm X made a connection way back in 1965 between racism and capitalism , between racism and an imperialist foreign policy . My favorite Malcolm X quote : " Show me a capitalist and I'll show you a blood sucker " .
