Funny -or not so funny - while the capitalist state in the USA makes itself more pleasing to reactionary New Atheists ( banning Christian symbolism everywhere ) EXECUTION becomes a squalid , quasi-religious HUMAN SACRIFICE ritual - with the high priests of the state offering up the victim to both the majesty of the bloody LAW and the merciless Moloch Money God : a WARNING to the rebellious " underclass " seething with rage against " the system ". Two thousand years ago one notable sacrificial victim inspired a mass movement that helped to destroy the mighty Roman Empire.
