The BEST FRIENDS of public school kids in the city of Providence are the much maligned teachers who know them up-close and personal. Whole books have been written about the decay of public education in cities like Detroit and Providence.

 The education bureaucrats are in collusion with corrupt politicians and Corporate America to starve - ultimately to privatize-public education.

The ruling class creates this myth : get an education to get ahead. Then they make it impossible for working class kids to graduate from high school with basic literacy skills. And do decaying, unhealthy school buildings create an atmosphere that nurtures intellectual skills, good study habits , " holy curiosity " ( Einstein called it ) ? 

They make it impossible for teachers to TEACH . Teachers can not be cops and social workers, and mental health experts. 

For Providence school teachers " The Black Board Jungle " is still the picture of daily fear , anxiety , and frustration. WE must support them . Providence is the next Detroit !
