Ebola crisis- Freeze the assets of the One Percent

  When a whole civilization faces a crisis like this Ebola plague it must concentrate ALL its material and human resources on the peril.  For years now Tea Party Republican dimwits have been obsessed with Big Government and always too high taxes for the greedy bourgeois and petty-bourgeois classes. They have demanded that we privatize everything from prisons to social security, medicare care, even public libraries.  Big Government,it seems, is incompetent to deal with anything but endless war and protecting the private wealth of the rich. What ISIS terrorists can rival Ebola in terror ?

             But let a major catastrophe fall on us, an earthquake, tornadoes, hurricanes like Katrina. They all scream to Big Government : HELP ! SAVE US !

        A not insignificant detail in a recent story on a hospital struck by Ebola: a hospital nurse complained there were insufficient funds for adequate protective gear. " Insufficient funds " relative to privatized budgets.

      At least temporarily the federal government should freeze all the financial assets of the ONE PERCENT plutocracy. It should make it clear that they have no absolute right to hog the social surplus value ( every civilization in history was a product of this surplus wealth). After the Ebola crisis is over a democratic people can decide how much private wealth is tolerable. No dogma here just a pragmatic social experiment - more like the New Deal than Stalinist Russia communism.
