What's Happening: Providence Pridefest

More than a hundred years ago the SOCIALIST movement voiced support for an end to the ignorant persecution and prosecution of gay people. But the WOKE " gay pride " movement of the past few decades shows signs of spiritual, moral ,and intellectual stagnation or even degeneration.. When does PRIDE become self-centered narcissism ? When does the LGBTQ " community " become a rather circumscribed counter-culture ghetto easily exploited by pandering " liberal " Democrat politicians ? How often does GROUP THINK becomes a self-imposed tyranny ! And a futile search for the nth degree of " liberation ? And a growing intolerance for the FREE SPEECH, FREE THOUGHT tradition of Western Civilization ? Is endless bashing of ancient Catholicism, and Christianity in general, the path to a kinder and gentler society ? Whatever LOVE is in this most imperfect world it cannot be forced
