Catholic priest CONFESSOR Eric Silva is in the news this week for - if accurately reported- CREEPY behavior in the Church confessional : asking young kids if they are gay ? In fairness to Father Silva I am not sure we have the whole story here. But the Catholic Confession ritual should never savor of the old Inquisition . Did some kid bring a cell phone recorder into the confessional ? Was this a cynical set up ? After all , for 2000 years the Catholic Church has preached homosexuality as a sin. It also preaches love and forgiveness for the sinner-not rarely the priest himself.
A strange quote of Father Eric Silva in an earlier write up :
