There was much more consciousness about the dangers of nuclear war in early 1960s when prominent philosophers and scientists like Bertrand Russell, Linus Pauling, J. Robert Oppenheimer ( " scientists know sin " ) were TALKING over the heads of obtuse political establishment idiots to a literate public with much more humanity and common sense.
There is no emotional and intellectual fire in today's INTELLIGENTSIA to inspire a BAN THE BOMB revival. The American ruling since the collapse of the Soviet Union has cultivated the most subservient intellectual class in human history.
99 percent of them are more concerned about the security of Apartheid Israel than the future of humanity. More concerned about the comfort of the ONE PERCENT than working class or the free-falling middle class.
