I could not stand to listen to Trump for one minute last night. But I caught that anti-socialism drool on local radio this morning. Radio news celebrity Gene Valicenti- a political moderate - nevertheless cheered this distinctly FASCIST line of President Trump : " I was taught that's BAD in school, Gene said. " Socialism , communism, fascism " all BAD !
Well that is what a public school education is all about. As Marx said : the ruling ideas are the ideas of the ruling class.
I did once send an e-message to Mr. Valicenti at 630WPRO : " Try wearing a VOTE SOCIALIST button to work one day and see how much job security you have. " ( he did respond curtly )
So even in graduate school in capitalist America the " A" student will already know that SOCIALISM IS BAD !
If he is a major in journalism , he can apply with confidence for a job at the Providence Journal which for some time has un-invited me to " join the conversation ". No, not even a miserable letter-to-the editor.
Likewise I am BANNED ON ABC on line . Also BANNED AT THE BROWN DAILY HERALD. And for IDEAS and OPINIONS that some guy thinks should get me BANNED FROM THE WORLD SOCIALIST WEB SITE.
And I recently read somewhere ( noted in my blog ) that socialism was inherently anti-Semitic and that Marx's labor theory of value contributed to the rise of Nazism .
Just say NO to socialism, Bernie !
So is SOCIALISM banned forever from " OUR democracy " ? Can't we at least have a referendum ?
