Do you think the " friends of Israel " at the New York Times will ever give a fair hearing to Palestinian voices ? The Palestinian people know their own history beginning with mass dispossession- with the help of British and American imperialism- in Palestine in the decade after the Great War , the war to make the world safe for democracy.
An eye witness to the beginning of modern Israel was the legendary American journalist Vincent Sheean. In the last chapter of his book " Personal History " ( circa 1933 ) he writes that he began as sympathetic to Zionism. By the end of the chapter he thought Zionism was comparable to Nazism. There was EVIL here in the treatment of the Palestinians.
