Whatever can relieve the immediate miseries of homeless Americans is welcome . But as a longtime independent democratic socialist I think the homeless problem will never be solved as long as capitalist-landlord PRIVATE PROPERTY is nearly sacrosanct by LAW. The human right to a HOME clashes with the FOR PROFIT economy. And enormous resources will be freed as soon as we junk the US war machine. American imperialism -even as it embraces " sovereign " Ukraine - is not all about Boy Scout virtues. How smart is it to give NATO " hero " war monger V. Zelensky the keys to the US Treasury ?
