Any real " mental health expert " must also be an astute critic of American capitalist society
As a longtime independent democratic socialist I cannot accept the credentials of ANY " mental health expert " who is also not an astute and informed critic of our highly irrational CAPITALIST society. Decades ago socialist humanist psychiatrist Dr. Erich Fromm got it right in his book aptly titled " The Sane Society ".
Has the profession of psychiatry in the United States lobotomized itself on the SOCIAL dimensions of mental illness ?
