I found my self in agreement with Rep. Patricia Morgan on NOT imposing WOKE identity politics and politically correct - but UNSCIENTIFIC -views that would erase the GENDER concept - in BIG BROTHER ( not BIG SISTER ) fashion from the consciousness of children.
Rep. Morgan spoke this morning with TARA@630WPRO.com , April, 12 , 2022 . Morgan defended a bill that would rationally restrain IDENTITY politics fanaticism from brainwashing children while at very " innocent " stage where they would probably be more interested in Hans Christian Anderson fairy tales ( to sure , all types of human DIVERSITY can be imagined in fairy tales ) than ludicrous and vacuous lectures to CHILDREN defending Weimar Republic type decadence of 1920s Germany - which had unhappy social consequences.
As a democratic socialist I can imagine teaching " innocent " children about the more fundamental realty of CLASS STRUGGLE in capitalist America. I assume gay people , lesbians, bisexuals , the trans-gendered - if they are WORKING CLASS - are just as vulnerable- for THAT reason - under capitalism as generic victims of bigotry : of racism. sexism, homophobia, anti-Semitism , Islamophobia , etc.
In " OUR democracy " WE working class people - enjoy a certain WAGE SLAVE EQUALITY : we are all entitled to a minimum wage. WE are FREE to vote Democrat or Republican in city , state, and national elections. As long as you are not a SOCIALIST , you are free to express your ideas and opinions in any major newspaper or even on Talk Radio.
To think that WE WORKING CLASS people are exploited and oppressed by the American plutocracy is -in " OUR democracy " - very close to Orwellian " 1984 " THOUGHT CRIME.
The reason that Republican Rep. Patricia Morgan did not find too many people in Rhode Island OPENLY supporting her is simple. The " liberal " , " progressive " Democratic Party has a STALINIST hold on political power in Rhode Island. Their strident voices in the mainstream news media -for years now - have afflicted a reign of ideological terror on would be opponents of vicious identity politics and often daffy political correctness. FEAR OF SPEAKING OUT because THEY can cancel your life !
It does seem that WOKE Democrats in Rhode Island, and in every state controlled by Democrats , now reject the most fundamental principle of popular democracy - MAJORITY RULE. The endless list of identity politics pet victims- and new ones are discovered in every election year- will not ever add up to the generic WORKING CLASS MAJORITY.
An so odd , is it not : the unnamed villain in all identity politics crusades is the WHITE CHRISTIAN WORKING CLASS and even traditional Christianity - which for two thousand years has preached : " LOVE THY NEIGHBOR ! " Which is hateful enough .
