What scares me is that the World Socialist Web Site seems to be an isolated, lonely, ( scorned ? ) VOICE " on the Left " telling the simple truth about imperialist intrigue.
What kind of " leftists " do not want to hear the truth or speak the truth ? Individuals caught in the trap of PRIVILEGE . They cherish comfort and phony social status above any -very suppressed - passion for social justice. The great Russian writer Leo Tolstoy had this type figured out long ago. Despite his somewhat nebulous religious philosophy the Bolsheviks loved him for his TRUTH. His LETTERS are quite radical.
The bourgeois officials with a conscience might benefit from reading Tolstoy's " The Death of Ivan Illyich ".
