As both a democratic socialist and a pre-Vatican II type Catholic I am amused by the Pope inserting classic FASCIST motives , always toxic NATIONALISM , for common people to have more kids, in Italy more " bambinos " . Rational SELF-CONTROL can bring more WANTED and VIABLE kids into the world . Can the human population DOUBLE a few more times in a century without ending WESTERN CHRISTIAN CIVILIZATION ( which began in Athens and Rome ) as we know it ? [ it is not " fascism " to admire the achievements of Western Christian Civilization without slighting other great civilizations - like China , for example.]
