The 62 year old black male is enraged by white racism as if the Civil Rights Movement was a miserable failure. On the Left and on the Right mere rage is often clueless and brainless. Way back in 1965 Black Muslim Malcolm X made a connection between racism and capitalism, between racism and imperialism . My favorite Malcolm X quote : " Show me a capitalist and I will show you a bloodsucker ". In his Harlem speeches Malcolm X warned black Americans to put no trust in the Democratic Party.
As a life long democratic socialist I can only commend Malcolm X here for rising above reverse racism , blaming ALL white people for the problem. Socialist writer George Breitman, a long time member of the Socialist Workers Party ( now decayed ) wrote a most instructive book titled " The Last Year Of Malcolm X ". White leftist radicals , in the " Tumultuous Sixties ", warmed up to the fiery black revolutionary when he - along with Dr. Martin Luther King - spoke out against American imperialism's criminal war in Vietnam .
Should black Americans be concerned about a SOVEREIGN Ukraine ? Malcolm X would have answered with sarcastic laugh . He could not be fooled by Wilsonian blather , all the cant words and phrases about " FREEDOM " , " making the world safe for democracy " , " SOVEREIGN nations ".
And " WE WON'T BE FOOLED AGAIN ! "
