Walking toward Providence City Hall this morning I was pleased to see a healthy looking Christmas Tree side by side the traditional Jewish Menorah lighting. But " Hanukkah " display is definitely religious symbolism while a generic Christmas tree - no Star on top, no Mary and baby Jesus scene in a stable ? Does the local Democratic Party too have an animus for CHRISTMAS ?
How about the Three Wise Men holding up a ' Merry Christmas " sign ?
Did I not read somewhere that Providence's Mayor Elorza has celebrity status among those most endearing New Atheists ?
Anyway MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY HANUKKAH to all !
