Isaac Asimov on the benevolence of government " information "

Justice Department Changes Legal Team Behind Census Citizenship Question Case

President Trump's legal team might find some ironic support from an essay written by the very liberal Democrat Isaac Asimov before his tragic death. The essay argued that the MORE information the government had on everything and everybody the less likely it was to crack down violently on a whole population. I will recover this -as usual - very rational Asimov essay.

What is wrong with pure INFORMATION here : are YOU or are you not a citizen of the United States ?

OK Asimov was not always a genius in his opinions :

Asimov: "To tell the truth, I don't think the odds are very good that we can solve our immediate problems. I think the chances that civilization will survive more than another 30 years—that it will still be flourishing in 2010—are less than 50 percent. "
