Forced motherhood is, of course, a characteristic of fascist societies. I just read that forced fatherhood was common in ancient Sparta.
It would have surprised Charles Darwin that most healthy, happy women don't want to be mothers- not ever.
Capitalist society isolates mothers -and fathers - in a private property prison. It places a decades long burden of caring for children on individual families . Hence the real terror of parenthood for many.
With effective forms of birth control in a democratic socialist society there would be no need for a FOR PROFIT baby butchering abortion industry- or for such false friends of women - and dear friends of the Democratic Party - as Planned Parenthood.
Our Rhode Island governor, " Wall St. Gina " Raimondo, is a big fan of Planned Parenthood - and is presently letting poor families here go hungry -blaming it on the dysfunctional state computer system.
" Wall St. Gina " would not hesitate to direct any complaining mother of hungry kids to holy Planned Parenthood. She herself is a " good Catholic ". Hypocrisy is also a way of life in capitalist America.
