You would think that this is just ordinary decency and common sense.
The permanent political crisis of the capitalist system in the United States now seems to demand for DISTRACTION the emotional equivalent of the bloody Colosseum games in ancient Rome : which prominent celebrity will be thrown to the lions next week ? Perhaps the Praetorian Guard ( shadow government ) has plans even for our " Caligula " type elected president.
The mainstream news media as the guardian of public and private morals ? Soon the " art of love " and some American Ovids will be exiled by the New Puritanism movement in the USA.
The Empire needs more uptight souls to keep things going. They need to be more -not less -like the Islamic State. The Empire will be " purified in blood " that WE remain " the envy of the world " .
But where is democracy in America ? Where is free speech and free thinking ? Don't look for it even in the Ivy League universities.
Don't look for intellectual integrity in ANY mainstream news media journalists
news editors, or puffed up columnists and reporters.
