I am a critical supporter of Bernie Sanders. I think he should be
more blunt about his proposed " socialism ". His seeming embrace of "
democratic socialism " within the unfriendly territory of the Democratic
Party makes it easier for others -more " independent " of the
establishment - to talk socialism. ALL socialists want to socialize the
wealth created by the physical and intellectual labor of working class
people and our free falling middle class.
If Bernie is -in truth- just a New Deal Democrat , he should be honest about his proposed policies : the correct word is REFORMIST( possibly Fabian Socialism - oh so very " gradual " ) .
In his foreign policy Bernie Sanders is far to the right of Eugene V. Debs- who opposed all imperialist wars and would never campaign as a Democrat. Read Debs' Canton Speech.
